SECOND SUNDAY OF EASTER

The early Christian communities lived in a community where they shared all things in common and divided everything on the basis of each one’s needs. They worked, ate and prayed together. For most of us, this might not seem like a very practical model nor even very appealing. Still the message of their lifestyle is worth thinking about. How aware are you of the needs of those around you? How willing are you to share what you have? Do you take advantage of opportunities to pray with others and talk about your faith with them? Consider how you can reflect these basic Christian values today.

As the Father has sent me, so I send you.

FINANCIAL REPORT FOR APRIL 12, 2020:  Offertory $650.  Easter $950.  Donations Mail $50.  Renovations & Improvements $265.  CRS Rice Bowl $563.24.  5th Sunday Charity $150. Furnishing/Equipment donations $300. Total: $2,928.24.

Our RICE BOWL campaign has ended. We thank those who participated in this important yearly drive! Your collection boxes and donations can be returned to the parish office during office hours.

May she Rest in Peace:  JoCarol James, mother of former parishioner and Best Friend employee Nancy James and wife of David, passed away the evening of April 5, 2020 after having a stroke. Prayers are appreciated for the family at this difficult time.
