                                                SIXTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

It is easy to overlook the fact that Jesus took time to go aside from the crowds and his ministry to pray and to rest. No matter how busy we are or how important we believe our work may be, we need to take time for ourselves. Time to rest and reflect and be renewed. It does not have to be a big block of time all at once. It can begin with taking advantage of those small moments during the day. Driving to work, riding in an elevator, waiting in line, or even walking to the car can provide a little space for us to take a deep breath, say a little prayer or be aware of God’s presence. Consider how you make time to rest and reflect. Can you make this a priority in your life?

Beside restful waters he leads me; he refreshes my soul. -PSALM 23:3
