Peter’s Pence Collect Next Week Catholics who contribute to the Peter’s Pence Collection continue a legacy of church unity and care for the poor. Their gifts to the Holy Father are “concrete signs of hope” to Pope Leo and fulfill the two aims of Peter’s Pence as set by the Holy See: “(1) To support the Holy Father’s mission, which extends throughout the entire world, from the proclamation of the Gospel to the promotion of integral human development, education, peace, and brotherhood among peoples: thanks also to the many activities of service carried out by the dicasteries, bodies and organs of the Holy See that assist him every day; and (2) To support the numerous charitable works in aid of people and families in difficulty, populations afflicted by natural disasters and wars, or who are in need of humanitarian assistance or support for development.” For more information on Peter’s Pence, please visit the Vatican’s Peter’s Pence website:
Entertaining Angels at the Social Hour. We never know which holy messengers may be visiting the parish and offering us the opportunity to recognize them (Heb. 18:3). We could still use a couple more teams to help host our Sunday post-Mass social hour. It’s easy and VERY FUN. See the sign-up list in the gathering space for more details
St. Christiopher’s Parish Endowment Did you know that St. Christopher’s Parish has an endowment with the Utah Catholic Foundation? It was started with a donation from the parish in 2020 with an initial corpus of $5000 and is intended for general parish use. The fund has just over $6700 with interest and two additional donations. The fund is set up as ‘Permanent Restricted’ which means the corpus stays in the fund, but the earnings are available to the parish as needed. If you would like to make a donation to our endowment for the long-term care of St. Christophers, please contact Fr. Rick for further details.
THANK YOU AGAIN – All who attended and assisted with welcoming the Pilgrimage from St. George this past Wednesday. It was greatly appreciated by the Pilgrims, Fr. Dillon and ME!
The Funeral Mass for James Wentz will be celebrated at St. Christopher’s at 12 noon on July 1st.

Homily Reflection Questions
- Who was Melchizedek? (Oh, go ahead and google it).
2. In today’s gospel, what is the significance of having 12 baskets of food left over?
3. Lk. 9:13 ‘Jesus said to them, “Give them some food yourselves.”’
Is Jesus speaking only to those present at this specific miraculous event or might He be speaking to all Catholics for all time? Since everyone was fed and with food left over, how would this translate to our present time? Since we are all in Mass today, how might we expect our participation at the ‘breaking of the bread’ to affect our ability to feed everyone?
4. During the National Eucharistic Revival from 2025-2025 how have you attempted to feed needy, desperate people with your time, talent and treasure?
