Our next OPEN-DOOR SATURDAY is July 18, 2026 from 10:00 AM-Noon. If you have friends or relatives that are interested in the Catholic faith, or are thinking of returning to the Church, please tell them about us and have them stop by. Diocesan Development Drive Our new goal for 2026 is $11,500. WE ARE OVER HALF-WAY THERE!! As of 4/30/26, eleven households have pledged $6600 with $4320 paid in. It would be great to have a fuller participation than the 17 parishioners we had last year. Thank you in advance.

This Week: Annual Collection for Peter’s Pence The two aims of Peter’s Pence: “1) To support the Holy Father’s mission, which extends throughout the entire world, from the proclamation of the Gospel to the promotion of integral human development, education, peace, and brotherhood among peoples: thanks also to the many activities of service carried out by the dicasteries, bodies and organs of the Holy See that assist him every day; and 2) To support the numerous charitable works in aid of people and families in difficulty, populations afflicted by natural disasters and wars, or who are in need of humanitarian assistance or support for development.”

St. Christopher Endowment: Did you know that St. Christopher’s Parish has an endowment with the Utah Catholic Foundation? It was started with a donation from the parish in 2020 with an initial corpus of $5000 and is intended for general parish use. The fund has now over $35,000 with interest and additional donations as of 5-30-26. The fund is set up as ‘Permanent Restricted’ which means the corpus stays in the fund, but the earnings are available to the parish annually as needed. If you would like to make a donation to our endowment for the long-term care of St. Christopher’s, please contact Fr. Rick for further details.

Homily Reflection Questions
- In the first reading today from the Second Kings the ‘woman of influence’ described Elisha as a ‘holy man of God.’ According to the homily today, how would she have recognized Elisah as such?
2 Rom. 6:3-4 “Brothers and sisters:, Are you unaware that we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?” What does it mean to be baptized into Christ’s death? Isn’t baptism about new life?
3 Mt. 10:37 Jesus said to his apostles: “Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me;” How could one make this distinction about when one is loving Jesus more that one’s parents or children? When have you had to make that distinction? What was the consequence?
4 1 Ptr. 2:9, Today’s Gospel acclamation declares that, “You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation;” How does that statement apply to modern Catholic Americans? What instruction or guidance does the Catholic Church offer to help us live out this holy calling? (Hint: you could start by referring to the rest of this bulletin. Also available online).
