FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT

Once again, we begin a new Church year with the season of Advent. It is a time of anticipation and waiting as we prepare for the celebration of the birth of Jesus – Love made flesh. Consider ways you can make this a special time. If you are alone, take some quiet time to pray and reflect on what you might do to make this season meaningful and renewing. If you have a family, set some time aside to discuss what this season is about and what your family might do to keep its meaning in focus.

O Lord of hosts, look down from heaven, and see; Take care of this vine, and protect what your right hand has planted.              -PSALM 80:14-15

CURRENT MASS PROTOCOLS:  Per Diocesan policy in accordance with current public health recommendations, the people (except liturgical ministers serving in the sanctuary) must wear cloth face masks upon entering the church until they depart. Masks will remain on the face throughout the whole Mass except when receiving communion. Saint Christopher will offer Mass for up to 28 persons at each Mass, with seating at six-foot distances required. Any Mass that you attend during the week will satisfy your Sunday obligation. As always, the greatest concern is for each person’s health and safety, thus it is up to each person to make the decision that is best for them and the community. Please consult our website or call the parish office with any questions. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

FINANCIAL REPORT FOR NOVEMBER 21-22, 2020:  Offertory $1,230 /  Donations Mail $60 /  Renovations & Improvements $270 /  Campaign for Human Development (20-2207) $457 /  Navajo Holiday Assistance $30  =  $2,047.

Our next OPEN DOOR SATURDAY is December 5, from 10:00 AM – Noon. It is scheduled every first and third Sunday of the month. If you know someone who may be interested in coming back to the Catholic Church, or who is simply interested in what we are about, please spread the word that we would be more than happy to speak with them.

NEXT SUNDAY, there will be a collection for Catholic Community Services of Utah. These services have been empowering people in need along the Wasatch front to reach self-sufficiency. By giving strength to the weakest in our midst, CCS is able to lovingly serve and provide hope to those with the greatest need in our community regardless of race, religion, or personal circumstance. Your support is greatly needed. Thank you.
