TWENTY-SIXTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

Our human nature finds it very difficult to accept God’s way of doing things as “just.” Many of Jesus’ parables tell us that God does not judge things the way we would. God knows our hearts and understands our struggles in a way even we do not understand ourselves, much less anyone else. There is nothing to be gained by trying to measure our “goodness” nor comparing it to others. Our focus should be on how well we are trying to follow Jesus and leave the rest in the hands of our merciful God.

Your ways, O Lord, make known to me: teach me your paths.

-PSALM 25:4

MASS PROTOCOLS AS OF SEPTEMBER 20, 2020: Per Diocesan policy, in accord with current public health recommendations, the people (except liturgical ministers serving in the sanctuary) must wear cloth face masks upon entering the church until they depart. Masks will remain on the face throughout the whole Mass except when receiving communion. Saint Christopher’s will offer Mass for up to 28 persons at each Mass, with seating at six-foot distances required. Any Mass that you attend during the week will satisfy your Sunday obligation. As always, the greatest concern is for each person’s health and safety, thus it is up to each person to make the decision that is best for them and the community. Please consult our website or call the parish office with any questions. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

FINANCIAL REPORT FOR SEPTEMBER 19-20, 2020:  Offertory $1,095 /  Donations Mail $60 / Renovations & Improvements $285 /  Priests’ Retirement (20-2209) $150 /  Holy Land Collection (20-2203) $405  =  $1,995.
