Diocesan Development Drive Our new goal for 2026 is $11,500.  WE ARE OVER HALF-WAY THERE!!  As of 5/15/26, eleven households have pledged $6600 with $4320 paid in. It would be great to have a fuller participation than the 17 parishioners we had last year. Thank you in advance.

Consecration of the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. On June 11, 2026, as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. bishops will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Parishes around the country are encouraged to join the bishops in celebrating the consecration of our nation to the Sacred Heart.  Our local consecration will happen at Mass on Thursday, June 11 at a 9:00 AM Mass.  (It will replace the regular 8:00 AM). Please come and invite a friend.

The Search continues.  This 7-part video and discussion series from the Augustine Institute (formed.org) is a great intro to the Catholic faith. It starts with many of the real questions most people ask as they move through the different stages of life and gives us the next steps to Catholic teaching.  As we anticipate receiving more new members into our parish, everyone is encouraged to participate.  This series continues with Session #5 and is held on Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.

St. Christopher Endowment:  Did you know that St. Christopher’s Parish has an endowment with the Utah Catholic Foundation?  It was started with a donation from the parish in 2020 with an initial corpus of $5000 and is intended for general parish use.  The fund has now over $35,000 with interest and additional donations as of 5-30-26. The fund is set up as ‘Permanent Restricted’ which means the corpus stays in the fund, but the earnings are available to the parish annually as needed.  If you would like to make a donation to our endowment for the long-term care of St. Christopher’s, please contact Fr. Rick for further details.

Homily Reflection Questions:

1   How many rosaries are prayed during a novena?

2  Which of the past 4 Sunday liturgies was most impactful for you?  (Ascension, Pentecost, Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity or Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Jesus Christ).  Which Sunday readings provoked the most engaging discussions with those closest to you during the week?  Why?

3  Fr. Rick mentioned today that the Eucharist was also an ‘act of becoming’.  What did he mean by that?

4  What is the closest bond you have had with a Catholic parish community?  How did you level of participation develop during your time at that community?

5  When did God allow you to be most afflicted with spiritual hunger during your desert sojourn and how were you fed with the bread from heaven?  Deut. 8:2-3.  How have you shared that story with someone else afflicted with spiritual hunger?

6  Consider the book of essays, Localism: Coming Home to Catholic Social Teaching.  Ed., Dale Ahlquist & Michael Warren Davis.  How might this give you a new insight into Catholic Social Teaching (CST)?  Is this your first venture into CST?  How is it related to Eucharist?
