Pastoral Message from Fr. Rick – April 16, 2020

As of today we do not have any specific directive indicating when we might return to a more normal gathering for Mass and other community activities.  I am anticipating AT LEAST until the end of April…..????

I have been calling many of the parishioners to just check in and say HAPPY EASTER.  We seem like a pretty stable and amiable group, but it’s great that you continue to check in with each other on a regular basis.  ALSO, FEEL FREE TO CALL ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CHAT ABOUT ANYTHING.  Just leave a message at the office and I will get back with you pronto.

This is an especially good time, post Easter and current pandemic, to really allow yourselves to be inspired by Sacred Scripture.  In today’s gospel (Luke 24:35-48) Jesus specifically ‘opens the minds’ of the disciples so that they can understand and be inspired by the Scriptures.  This is not casual reading.  Please prayerfully read the daily Mass scriptures during Easter season and share your insights.

Please notice the many resources for live streamed Masses on the Salt Lake Diocese website (dioslc.org) and other pastoral updates from Bishop Solis.

Also, thank you to everyone who have been so faithful with your financial support of the community and other special collections.  Also, remember donations to our charity account as we would like to be consistently generous to the local Care and Share food bank on at least a monthly basis.
